My extensive knowledge has been born out of my experiences and also my continuing professional development.

I qualified with a CACHE NVQ Level 4 in Child Care and Child Development in 2000. This included a Distinction for a dissertation on Different Child Care Situations.

Throughout my career I have continued to update my first aid skills, specifically with paediatric techniques and current medical guidelines. I have cared for children with asthma, exemza, reflux, food intolerances, learning difficulties and mild cerebral palsy.

In 2004 I was awarded the prestigious title of Professional Nanny of the Year. I used the publicity and media coverage to raise awareness of the role of nannies and campaigned for better standards within the industry.

Recently I completed a residential course at Reading University in Maternity Nursing. This has furthered my knowledge in the care of newborns and of breastfeeding. I have also attended other short courses including food and nutrition.
